So good to hear from you! I had assumed you were working on some big project (and you were/are), but I’m so sorry to hear about the struggles. Life…the biggest project of all, and a hell of an instructor. Get that degree, get your feet firmly planted, and we will see you soon. I can’t wait to read more stories. I’ve missed you.
Kinda was, but then everything turned sour for a bit. I think I'll return to some shorter pieces for a bit, work my way up to the bigger projects again. I hope the novella is humming along and I haven't missed it!
I am SOOOO glad you are coming back! I can’t wait to read what you’re bringing. I need my Flyingheart fix! As for the novella, I’m stalled while I think about how to tell the story. Some characters are coming out strong, others are elusive. But I guess I’ll figure it out, lol.
Let's hope so, Miguel. It's been a tough couple weeks and sadly the work has taken a serious hit. I think I'll be leaning on your micros and HG's haikus to get the engine primed again!
Thanks Jennifer. Hopefully I'll be able to use some of it down the road. I'm taking it easy; the job is tough enough as it is. Although I do have a few ideas that are starting to mutter in the back of my mind... we'll see!
Thanks Tracy. And thank you for reaching out. You, Jim & Michele have really lifted my spirits, even though I was unable to respond. Next one goes out to you guys-- hopefully *before* the start of October!
Your writing stood out to me from the beginning and I found myself looking forward to each post you made. You are very modest and do not give yourself enough credit. I am so happy to hear my reaching out was meaningful for you. Appreciate your wonderful soul and words and look forward to reading whatever you choose to share here 🫶🏼💕😊✨
Hope so too! It *is* cool, but taxing. It takes a lot of mental resolve to deal with these guys, and I come home exhausted more often than not. Still waiting for it to get a little easier so I can get some writing done!
Ken, I knew if I yelled into canyon long enough and loud enough, there would be a return. Go after that degree and internship, we can and will wait. Best, Jim
Great to hear from you Ken. Glad to read that you are still on with writing. You keep doing what you do, trying to stir dark fears, navigating through life's turmoil. Sorry to read about the cat and the whole trouble of having to move, that's quite the painful mistress too. Good luck with your apprenticeship and hopefully new interesting stories will come out as a result
I also assumed you were working on a big project. I'm sorry things have been so stressful. Hopefully, it's your time to get some good luck coming your way.

This!
Glad you're around. See you soon!
Thanks Hanna. And thanks for the mention last week, really appreciate it! I'll be by for some reading soon!
You wanna go missing every now and again, okay. But you gotta tell your mom. Me. I'm your mom. (I'm so, so, soooooooooooooo glad to hear from you.)
Glad to hear you’re okay! I hope the living situation gets sorted and it’s only up from here

Glad to hear from you. I'm just sorry about your troubles.
Take the time you need. Don't rush.

That's great! I look forward to reading them.
In the mean time, get plenty of rest.
So glad to hear from you and thought of you often during your absence 🥰🥰🤗🫶🏼

Holy shit I can imagine! As an outsider it seems fascinating, but I don’t have to hear the real-life horror stories all day.

Go pursue your dreams. Substack will be here when you’re ready to come back.
Ken, so great to hear from you. Hang in there my friend...like all things in life this period of unrest will pass.

Good to hear from you, man. Take your time. We won't go away.
